The Shwe Mann Taung Golf Resort boasts an 18 hole golf course in the heart of Mandalay, Myanmar. It is indeed an attraction as this is one of the first golf courses to be renovated here boasting a modern layout and pristine conditions.

Despite its shortcomings on its overall length of 6564 yards, the course does pose challenges to all types of golfers. The shorter hitters would enjoy it most as the course might give them more pars than usual and a birdie or two along the way. As for the intermediate golfers, it is a fair layout that might see some shooting low scores on a good day. The advance golfers might see it go either way, with some being able to shoot their personal best scores. This being said, the course plays tight and without proper planning of shots, the course could make and advance golfer look like a pure beginner.

The course is a little unique in that both nines play to different conditions. The turf used on both nines differ and this is what makes playing here at Shwe Mann Taung special. A golfer will have to bring his A game to counter various types of conditions.

The Par 3s on the course pose all kinds of hazards. Despite some being shorter holes, the challenges that come with it (wind and water factors) could see some disastrous outcome. The par 4s are generally a mix of easy and tough holes whilst the Par 5s gives the golfers options to play it with the longer hitter being able to attack these holes in two.

In conclusion, the course at Shwe Mann Taung is fun to play yet tough and is a perfect fit for all types of golfers.
