LOCAL RULES

1. OUT OF BOUNDS

On or beyond all walls, fences and hedges bounding the course. Where possible OB is marked by white stakes / lines or white paint.

2. PENALTY AREAS

Your ball is in a penalty area when any part of it lies on or touches the ground or anything else inside the edge of the penalty area, or is above the edge or any other part of the penalty area.

3. YOUNG TREE / FLOWER BEDS (PLAY PROHIBITED)

If the player’s stance or area of his/her intended swing is affected, the ball MUST be lifted, without penalty, and dropped in accordance with the proper procedure.

4. IMMOVABLE OBSTRUCTION

White line areas adjoining any areas defined as immovable obstructions are to be regarded as part of the obstruction and not ground under repair. 6. EMBEDDED BALL

7. EDGING GROOVES

Should a ball come to rest on or touch an edging groove, the player may without penalty lift the ball, clean it and place it out of the groove in the nearest position to where it lay, which is not nearer the hole.

8. SPRINKLER HEADS / SERVICE ROADS / IMMOVABLE OBSTRUCTIONS CLOSE TO PUTTING GREEN

All fixed sprinkler heads/service roads are immovable obstructions and relief from interference may be obtained. In addition, relief may also be obtained if a ball lies off the putting green but not in a hazard and such an obstruction is within two club-lengths of the putting green and within two club-lengths of the ball and intervenes with the line of play between the ball and the hole.
